Meet Our Captain

Raised on the waters of South Florida, Captain Thomas Pearce has been boating under his father’s watchful eye since the age of four.

Hailing from a family of experienced boaters, Captain Thomas has worked on multiple vessels as a mate, beginning as early as the age of 12. With the sea in his blood and an intricate knowledge and understanding of vessels and their construction, Pearce pursued his passion to build Oceanic Yacht Management into what it is today while earning a 100 Ton Captains license from USCG.

Before founding Oceanic Yacht Management, formerly known as Blue Water Yacht Service, Captain Pearce pursued his education at Florida Atlantic University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a Minor in Psychology. Thereafter, he completed a Master’s in Business to bring a diversity of knowledge and experience to his business.

Captain Pearce had one vision for his company: To offer strategic planning, consulting, and yacht management assignment services to a discerning, specialized client base specific to the South Florida area. In doing so, he offers only the best service to every client in all that he does.

Captain Pearce’s personal motto was to always “Go the Extra Knot.” To this day, we do so to honor his legacy and the quality of services you, our clients, have come to expect.
